This Adult Education blended or hybrid course for Map and Compass Level 2 is designed for outdoor enthusiasts that want a review of how to use a map with a compass and upgrade skills outdoors. You might be a youth group leader, a hiker, paddler, snowmobiler, future Registered Maine Guide, or someone that wants to expand their skills or refresh them.
You will go through this online course and work through exercises designed to build your skills. You will need a baseplate compass with 2 degree accuracy something like the picture for the course. A bubble compass, military, or a lensatic compass will not work for this course.
We will be having two Zoom class meetings as part of this course. You need to read the Map and Compass Level 2 lesson before the first Zoom class meeting.
