You will need to have a chart parallel ruler, a chart pair of dividers, and a chart of Casco Bay or Penobscot Bay to complete this course. You can find these at marine supply stores and online. It doesn't matter whether your chart is paper or waterproof. If you have an old one that is OK as we are learning to navigate not use the chart on the water.
There are many extra nuggets inside this course that will help you become a safer recreational boater. This course is good for anyone planning to proceed on tidal waters including bays, rivers, and more open coastal Maine waters.
